The E-waste is then recycled to make use of the discarded material and research has shown that the recycle of e-waste are used to make new electronic components and are a major source of utilization of resources.
Introduction
The trend of electronic equipment usage is increasing at a higher rate. Every day some new gadget has been introduced and with the same rate e-waste is produced. E-waste is an advent trend to consume the discarded electronic products. Used electronic gadgets which are intended for recycle, resale, save, reusing or discarding are measured as e-waste.
The electronic waste contains many useful elements like aluminum, copper, gold, silver, plastics, and iron metals. But it also contains many hazardous materials which are toxic enough for environment. Those harmful materials include mercury, chromium, lead, cadmium, beryllium, and organic fire retardants which have the probability to leak into our top soil and marine (Kansas, n.d). When electronic items are discarded without much consideration then sometimes it may cause harmful consequences.
In this regard, The New York State Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act was contracted in 2010.It calls the company for the setup of fund programs for the management of recycling of hazardous electronic waste in New York. Finally in January 2015, the final support of this regulation turns into operational.
