The myth says that the slaves were happy and the condition of slavery was not present in the country. The first evidence about the reasons of civil war can be in the form of documents of Confederacy that explain about the war that was based on one clear thing and that was slavery. In the declaration of secession it was explained that the position is identified by the institution of slavery. Lowen himself said that the south was correct as they went for the war for uniting the country. Abraham Lincoln was not in the favor of slavery and opposed all the documents that were held in the favor of slavery. Slaves were not even treated like humans most of the slaves were black and their situation economically and physically was very poor. This discrimination created a major problem and was the main reason for the war (Bradly, 55). It was stated that there was no point of holding the slaves and making blacks their servants or slaves, even if they were with their owners they had to be given the right of freedom because they were independent human beings and had the right of a free life. Before the war southerners who were educated were in the favor of slavery as it would help them in the emancipation of slaves and will boost the economy when labor system will be enhanced. As this situation grew worse it was observed that morality issues and claims were presented by the side of slaves and it was not acceptable. As New England was given the responsibility for the development of the slaves in America they were being scrutinized and they were asked to leave this responsibility as most of the slaves were not happy with the situation.
