As a consultant to the Cambodian Tourist Board, I would suggest that the sites associated with the Khemr Rouge be used for promotion of tourism. The Khmer Rouge is the nickname of a political and military movement Cambodian communist -inspired Maoist who led Cambodia from 1975 to 1979. The Khmer Rouge took power after years of civil war, establishing the political regime known as the Democratic Kampuchea between 1975 and 1979, during which they rules Cambodia. Their organization had set up a dictatorship of extreme violence in charge, in a self-sufficient way, in order to create a classless Communist society, purged of the influence of capitalism and Western colonialism and religion. After the Civil War, Cambodia began to attract a large number of foreign tourists. I think that history is a big draw for tourists, and, the civil war is a very popular part of Cambodian history which is known worldwide. Thus, the related sites can help attract tourists.
