It is human nature to welcome something new that shows benefit to them. Human body needs nutrition and for this scientists developed genetically modified organisms for the crops. According to many critics these organisms are not necessary to be present in the world. According to many people the technology of GMO has given rise to increased production of the crops in many countries but this technology has similar or more increased dangerous impacts. According to my analysis this technology is giving nothing like a benefit to the humans and their body. Examples can be taken that will help in explaining the bad impacts of this technology. Example 1: In India, Monsanto sucked millions of crops in the fields of the country. Farmers of the country are poor and they were forced to buy these expensive seeds and chemical inputs for their productions. The cotton produced by the usage of this technology has given economic distress to many farmers of the country. Is this an economic liberalization shift of the cash crops and over 270,000 farmers of India committed suicides because they had losses in their crops. Huge corporations develop these technologies for the benefit of mankind but the real question is about the profits. They wanted to earn profits and even after analyzing the damage of this technology they placed burden on the farmers to buy these chemicals. Example2: In South Africa this story was repeated when farmers of the country were forced to buy these chemicals for growing their crops. Big corporations call it” investing in the agriculture” and in reality this is not an investment it is a danger that is coming near the humans every day because individuals have ignored this situation. All in all the science that is explaining the concept of GMOs is becoming politicized because of the level of profits that are viewed in this investment (Johnson, et al. 2007).
