  What research methods do you intend to use?

  The research will be carried out on the topic – A study on the relationship between Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty – A case study of McDonalds. While conducting research, the researcher needs to have in depth knowledge of the purpose of research. Those are descriptive, analytical and explanatory purposes (Scruggs & Mastropieri, 2006). This research will be conducted with the assistance of descriptive design as it enables in collected details description on the relationship between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty.

  In order to conduct this research first the objectives have been formulated based on which the entire study will be carried out. There are three different forms of research philosophy, like positivism, interpretivism and realism (Ketchen & Bergh, 2008). In order to conduct this research, the researcher has opted positivism research philosophy. Research approaches are of two different kinds, deductive and inductive. The research will choose inductive approach so that data can be gathered based on the views of the respondents (Kothari, 2004).

  Data is of two different types – primary and secondary data (Jha, 2008). Primary data will be collected from respondents whereas secondary data will be collected from books, research works, journals, websites and so on.

  Data collection methods are to two different types, qualitative and quantitative (Bernard, 2011). Both qualitative and quantitative data will be collected in order to conduct this study. Quantitative data will be collected through questionnaire set while the qualitative data will be collected through interviews (Bryman, 2012). Quantitative data will be collected from the customer base of McDonalds through questionnaire survey. Qualitative data will be collected from the managers of this fast food restaurant through interview (Kumar, 2005). In order to carry out sampling, simple random sampling method will be chosen where entire customer base will be included so that all the customers obtains opportunity to take participation in this research.
