The arched roof of the train shed at international terminal of Waterloo Station is an example of parametric model. The project involves a single parametric model and variations define the rest of the roof. The design was done by Nicholas Grinshaw & Partners in the year 1993. Similarly, in the Smithsonian Institute of Washington DC was done using parametric modelling where the joints and the panels are made different.

Utilize parametric design as geometric constraint solutions to solve, analyse and generate developable complexity surfaces within the proposed design approach. Each arch and its related cladding are different as the roof width changes along the curved track. In this project only a single parametric model of one arch is modelled and different parametric controlled variations define the whole roof.
