Paid Media: The paid media could be referred as the media platforms where an organisation has to make investments for getting promoted through search, affiliated marketing approaches or display ad networks, such as print, TV advertisements, etc. (Chaffey and Ellis-Chadwick, 2012).
Earned Media: Earned media could be referred as PR invested publicity generation approach for a specific brand through to improve brand awareness and recognition among general public or potential customers, for example social media marketing, direct word of mouth, social networks, brand communities and blogs (Ryan, 2016).
Owned Media: It refers to the promotional media that are owned by an organisation, for example official website, company smartphone application, official social media pages, etc. (Chaffey and Ellis-Chadwick, 2012).
For example, an UK based tour operator could promote its next event in Sydney, Australia through making effective use of these different types of media. Owned media like official website of the tour operator could be utilised for sharing information about the pricing, features, facilities and other details regarding the event (Signori and Flint, 2016).
