Young (1990), ascribes such different types of movement as well as utilization of space to several aspects. She contends that females are specified by the society to restrict their bodily capability. For instance, she states that females take part in games which are mostly enclosing and sedentary and they are not motivated to build up bodily abilities in the similar manner boys are. Additionally, Young (1990) states that apart from the danger of objectification which females survive with, they also go through the danger of incursion of their body space. Moreover, the extreme kind of such bodily incursion is the danger of rape. One cannot deny the fact that everyday females have to face the likelihood of bodily incursion in several more manners as well.
As a result, it could be stated from the above that gender is constructed socially through community since individuals have to function, carry out and control their body in order to become either feminine or masculine (Jackson, 1986: 330). Gender thus becomes a daily practice wherein individuals are involved and suppositions related to gender engage individuals in “doing gender” that holds the impact of fortifying suppositions related to gender disparities (Howson, 2004: 53)
